ISU is a flagship public, research-intensive HEI in Georgia that was established in 2006 as a merger of six different institutions, each having a long history and a diverse institutional profile. Its schools offer distinctive training in their respective direction and in-depth research opportunity in social sciences, humanities, life sciences, earth sciences, and hard sciences. Teaching, especially at graduate level, is tightly integrated with scientific research and the nexus between these two is very strong. ISU is actively involved in international projects. The priorities of these international projects/programs range from infrastructure and new programs development, improvement of academic and scientific potential and sharing international experience with the leading universities, research organizations, and institutions.
ISU is one of its region’s most progressive institutions. Supporting its excellent research, it has formed an entrepreneurial ecosystem to influence the mindset of its academic, administrative and technical staff, students and researchers. It has a wide range of pilot tailor-made entrepreneurship courses, training, mentoring schemes and events. It also has led to various start-up ideas and helped transform them into viable, commercialized products/services. Since 2016, ISU has been a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and organized the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which gathered inspiring speakers, mentors, entrepreneurs and featured activities, workshops, seminars, public lectures, business competitions, creathons to motivate, connect and engage entrepreneurs from different spheres. ISU has also pioneered a university-wide, multidisciplinary entrepreneur alumni network, offering wide diversity of benefits to its beneficiaries (mentoring, consultations, events and platforms for knowledge/experience sharing)

Nino Pataraia holds PhD in management from Glasgow, UK and master’s degree from the European Joint Master Programme offered by the Universities of Aveiro (Portugal), University of Oslo (Norway) and The University of Tampere (Finland).
Nino has previously worked in public/private universities (teaching, student counselling services, Human Resource Management Department/Career Development Centre) and with British Petroleum (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Gas/Oil Pipeline Projects) for several years. Nino has several years of experience in teaching, research and counselling.
Nino was the dean of Ilia State University Business School in 20152017. Currently Nino holds the position of Business Research Institute’s director and the head of Doctoral Programme. She is the author of several scientific papers, frequent presenter at international conferences, grant holder of various interdisciplinary research projects and the finalist of several fellowship programmes. Her main focus of research includes: Networked/Open Innovation, Organizational Development, Professional Development, Social Networks, Professional Learning; HRM, Quality Assurance, HE;
Nino’s experience in former international projects includes: Networked Innovations, Learning through Networks, Entrepreneur Alumni Network and her teaching focus and experience relate to Research Methods, Research design, HRM, Entrepreneurship, SNA.

Nino Tandilashvili has completed her education in France, receiving PhD in management from University Paris Nanterre (2016). Her PhD dissertation examined the impacts of managerial reforms in the Higher education system to the identity of higher education institutions. Nino received a master’s degree in project management from the University Paris-Dauphine (France) and double bachelor’s degree from Hogeschool Zeeland (The Netherlands) in Business Administration and from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia) in Anglistics.
Nino Tandilashvili has over 10 years working experience in private sector and academia. In 2007-2013 she was international project manager at Bureau Veritas were she managed merger/acquisition projects in over 30 worldwide subsidiaries. In 2015 Nino consulted for MCG Conseil (France) in business reorganization and training projects. In 2014-2017, she worked as a lecturer at University Paris Nanterre, and INSEEC Business School (France). Since 2017 she is an Associate professor at Ilia State University (Georgia) and the head of Non-Degree education department at ISET – The International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (Georgia). Nino is a reviewer of International peer review journal “Management Decision” (Emerald Publishing).
